PCU Student Interviews
of Brian Trenhaile, 10-02-2011
Mag: Why did you attend classes at PCU?
Brian: A long time ago in prayer the Lord
had instructed me to go to Bible school. I also enjoyed the
fellowship with other believers and noticed that while I was in
school I did not have time to focus on my own problems, as a result
I was doing better in activities outside of school. I had
tried to go to Bible school earlier, took one class and I did well
in it. But it was a correspondence school and I did not have
the benefit of being with other believers and teachers that knew me
personally. There is a wonderful synergy that occurs when a
group of believers are all headed toward the same goal.
Mag: How do you think
others are being blessed by you attending PCU?
Brian: While going to school it became
apparent to others and to myself that I had a ministry gift for
writing. So I'm planning to write devotional books. One
of my goals would be for people to personally experience God's
wonderful love daily and to naturally and willing love Him. I
would also like to see believers empowered with God's talents and
abilities and in this state of being lovingly reaching out to the
world around us. One of the areas that I'm planning to write
about is "In Christ Realities," some call it "New Creation
Realities." Because I believe that when a person finds out and
knows in their heart who they really are in Christ; that sin is no
longer an issue and they will relate to God and to others in a way
originally intended to by God. People who walk in Christ are
not trying to establish a righteousness of their own, they are
relieved of that burden because they are walking in His
righteousness. This righteousness enables them to tap into
God's grace, which in my opinion includes tapping into His power and
ability. Grace in my opinion involves a whole lot more than
unmerited favor.
Mag:
What do you think
about the future effects of you going to PCU?
Brian:
I'm believing that people will be blessed through my life and what I
have to share with them. I find myself focusing more on living
out what the Bible says rather than just obtaining head knowledge.
I want to use my own personal experiences with God to serve as a
platform for ministering to others, though I don't mind also tapping
into the practical wisdom that others have to offer.

2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in
earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be
of God and not of us.
